Revamping an Existing Website for Improved SEO and Lead Generation: A Case Study


As a web designer, one of the most satisfying parts of the job is helping clients to achieve their goals through their websites. Recently, I had the opportunity to work with a client who wanted to take their existing website and move it to their own hosting plan. My task was to clone the old website to a WordPress theme, optimize it for SEO, and start a content-driven marketing program for them.

The first step was to understand the client’s business and what they wanted to achieve with their website. They wanted a website that showcased their services, provided a way for customers to contact them, and generated leads. Once we had a clear idea of their objectives, I began the process of cloning their old website to a WordPress theme. This would make it easier for them to manage their content in the future.

Once the website was up and running, I focused on optimizing it for search engines. This involved doing keyword research and optimizing the website’s meta tags, including the title tags and meta descriptions. I also started a content-driven marketing program for the client, creating blog posts and articles that were relevant to their business and target audience.

In addition to the SEO and content-driven marketing efforts, I integrated the website with Google AdWords. This involved adding conversion tracking to the website so that the client could track the performance of their AdWords campaigns. I also set up retargeting campaigns to target visitors who had visited the website but had not yet converted.

Finally, I integrated the website with Google for search optimization and analytics. This involved submitting the website to Google Search Console and verifying ownership. I also set up Google Analytics to track website traffic and user behavior.

Overall, the project was a success, and the client was very pleased with the final product. By cloning their old website to a WordPress theme, optimizing for SEO, and starting a content-driven marketing program, we were able to help the client achieve their goals. Additionally, integrating with Google AdWords and Google for search optimization and analytics helped them to track their performance and make data-driven decisions. The end result was a website that was not only visually appealing but also functional and effective in generating leads for their business.
